Fast Fact Friday: Ashley

Have you ever broken:

A window?
I don't think so?

A bone?
Yes.  My toe.  I was babysitting Burke and Annie and dropped a plate sideways on my middle toe.  It bruised all the way up to my ankle, and I could only wear flip-flops for a good month.

Someone's heart?
Yes.  I still feel terrible.  So I went on a date with a guy a few years back and I wasn't really interested , but kept on texting back to him to be nice.  I remember him asking me if we could be more than friends and I said no.  Which is fine, but it happened to be Christmas Eve.  I hope he still had a good Christmas.

Someone else's prized item?
I ran into Mom and Dad's house once . . . with their car.  

Your cell phone?
Hahaha.  I have sent one swimming in a toilet, sent them angrily flying through the air, chased kids in Shopko until it flew out of my pocket, bounced three times and shattered into pieces.  Interestingly, I have only ever broken one phone completely.

When you were a kid . . .
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Ok, this one is hard to explain . . . I wanted to marry people.  LOL.  Not like marry other boys, I wanted to be the priest marrying couples.  Yeah, I blame Jenny for getting married when I was little and giving me strange ideas.

What was your favorite song?
This is funny because I refuse to have favorites nowadays, but as a child it would definitely be "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

What was your favorite TV show?
I don't think I really had one.  I loved watching the Disney princess movies, especially Beauty and the Beast.

What was your favorite game we played as a family?
Probably Uno.  Although now you would have to pay me to play it . . . funny story . . . I do get payed to play Uno.


What was your favorite meal?
Mashed potatoes and gravy, for sure.

What is your favorite season and why?
Spring and fall, not too hot and not too cold.

What kind of weather do you prefer?
70 to 80 degrees with a light breeze and thunderstorms on occasion.

What is your favorite thing to do outdoors?
Camping, of course!

What kind of scenery do you like to see on a drive?
Mountains with lots of trees.

What is your favorite treat on a hot summer day?
Ice cream cones or Creamies.

What family pet do you have fond memories of?
Sam.  I remember how he always used to follow me around when I was little just to make sure I was safe and biting tires and chasing cars while spinning around in circles.  I also can't leave Princess out.  I remember her loving to go camping and being so patient with the grandkids, letting them crawl all over her and using her as a horse.

What is your favorite animal?
Definitely a horse.  Love them!

What animal scares you the most?
I don't think they scare me.  After all, I did pet a rattlesnake (This is Amy adding--don't try this at home!  Just the teacher in me. :)).  I think I might be scared, though, if I went up against a bear.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
A horse.  I would love running wild and being so free and they are passionate and emotional animals.

What is the most exotic animal you have ever seen?
Do dolphins count as exotic?  I rode an elephant once . . .

Texas Roadhouse or Winger's.  I love the Winger's sticky fingers rice bowl.

What is your favorite drink?  How often do you drink it?
OJ, Mountain Dew, Reed's Dairy chocolate milk.  Not enough.

Who is your favorite team?
Meh . . .

How do you like your steak?
Medium rare.

What is your favorite toothpaste?
The cinnamon stuff!  Love it!

Where is your favorite place to shop?
I'm too poor to shop.  You can find anything on Amazon, though, and usually at a better price.

Ashley's Wedding Pictures

Ashley recently put some of her wedding pictures on Facebook so I thought I would put a few up here.  All of the pictures were taken by Justin's cousin, Whitney.

1. Where is your favorite vacation place?

I would say California.  It's beautiful and there's lots to do!

2. How long do you like to go on vacation?

I think it would depend on where I was going.  If it were a trip to SLC, then I would probably only want a day or two.  But I would want a lot more time for Europe or somewhere like that.

3. Where did you go on your favorite vacation?

Probably California.  Disneyland was pretty fun.

4. Where was your most recent vacation?

California, again . . .  Went and visited a friend.  I need to go somewhere new.

5. If money were no object, where would you like to go?

I would go to Europe.  I love all the history of it!
